VoiceCode™: A simple solution to the ‘Milestone 7’ problem
The Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI) Milestone 7 requires the recording of the produce case’s GTIN and Lot Code (and optional date) at each step of the supply chain. However, manually scanning outbound cases would create a significant increase in labor cost, equipment costs, and distribution time. The patent-pending VoiceCode™ system was developed to completely eliminate the need to scan cases.
