HarvestMark Releases DailyShopper Quality Measuring System

"The HarvestMark traceability system from YottaMark is introducing the HarvestMark DailyShopper, a service that provides customers product age and quality information.
When company representatives scan HarvestMark-coded produce items in supermarkets with a handheld data capturing device, the product’s age and quality is recorded.
So far, the program is being used in 70 stores in 17 of the 20 largest U.S. retail markets.
Surveyors score the product on a 1 to 5 rating scale for commodity appearance. The information provides users insights into how their product is holding up in the supply chain, said Elliott Grant, founder and chief marketing officer of the Redwood City, Calif., company."
