Kroger has added HarvestMark traceability to its produce through the Quality You Can TraceSM program. Elliott Grant of HarvestMark shows how the iPhone application works, providing information such as origin and packing date for the items in his grocery cart.
Shoppers who trace fresh salads and vegetables have an opportunity to receive coupons and recipes as well as provide feedback to Kroger.
